Leadership La Plata (LLP), the diverse, all-volunteer organization designed to educate and train community leaders from throughout the county, has announced its new class for 2017-2018.

The LLP Selection Committee selects 18 candidates from a highly qualified field of dynamic individuals.

New class members are Jason Armstrong (Southwest Center for Independence), Rondi Bobbin (Community Banks of Colorado), Elizabeth Calagias (Fort Lewis College), Tanya Clegg (Business Improvement District), Kate Hallock (Alpine Bank), Michelle Hanson (HDS Freight), Eric Kuss (Durango Glass), Holly Landgren (Department of Homeland Security), Sarah Mummert (Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory), Sheryl McGourty (Yoga Durango), Trisha Mead (Horizon Environmental), Natambu Obleton (FastTrack Communications), Tiffany Parker  (La Plata County), Jeanne Randazzo-Szczech (Arete Mortgage), Crystal Robertson (Centura), Christopher Ruecker (Peak Brewing), Chuck Stevens (La Plata County) and Darren Wayman (ASAP Accounting & Payroll).

Now in its 29th year, LLP provides leadership skills training and broad-based education covering all facets of the community. More than 400 LLP graduates are currently engaged in community leadership roles, from business and local government to non-profit agencies.
